JamRock Awards 2025 Official Voting Procedures
VOTING OVERVIEW
All registered JamRock Voters (fans, industry professionals, and Academy members) are eligible to participate in the official voting process. Voting is conducted securely online via the official JamRock Awards voting portal in partnership with an independent third-party auditor.
NOMINATION PHASE
- Phase 1 – Public & Industry Submissions Any artist, label, or management can submit entries during the official submission window (dates announced annually).
- Phase 2 – Screening Committee A selected panel of reggae and dancehall experts reviews all submissions for eligibility and quality. Only entries meeting the JamRock criteria advance to the shortlist.
- Phase 3 – Nominees Voting
- Registered JamRock Voters (free sign-up on jamrockawards.com/vote) cast their votes.
- Each voter may select up to 5 nominees per category.
- Votes are weighted: 50% public + 50% JamRock Academy (verified industry members).
- Top 5 entries per category become the official nominees.
- Best Music Video
- Best New Artist
- Best Producer
- Best Sound Engineer
- Best Reggae Collaboration
- Best Dancehall Collaboration
FINAL VOTING PHASE (WINNERS)
- Opens after nominees are announced.
- All registered voters may vote once per category.
- Voting weight: 50% public + 50% JamRock Academy.
- All votes are final and audited by an independent accounting firm.
- Winners are revealed live at the JamRock Awards ceremony and streamed worldwide.
KEY RULES
- One vote per person per round (IP + email verification).
- No ballot stuffing – automated and manual checks in place.
- If a nominated artist/entry is found ineligible after announcement, the nomination is withdrawn and not replaced.
- Results are kept strictly confidential until the live reveal.
2025 VOTING SCHEDULE (Tentative)
- Submissions Open: 15 January 2025
- Submissions Close: 28 February 2025
- Nominees Voting: 10–24 March 2025
- Nominees Announced: 1 April 2025
- Final Voting (Winners): 15–30 April 2025
- Awards Ceremony: May 2025 (Kingston, Jamaica)
